

These are some every day wonderful type sunsets. You miss a lot in these photos as I cannot catch the water that wraps around the house. That water also picks up the nice reflections.

Here is the dock. The brush in the photo has been cleared. The water off the floater is fifteen or so feet deep. When the water was at its lowest some years ago I had to spend fifteen minutes digging a little under the boat cradle support on the shore side to get adequate clearance to get the boat out. In eight years the boat has never been stuck in the lift due to low lake water level.
The dock has been registered with AEP as nonconforming (so it can be rebuilt if anything ever happened). Now you cannot build party decks over the lifts.

I never appreciated shade as much as I have in Virginia. The summer sun is hot. There is a nice shady yard usually with
nice breezes blowing in off the water. And it is great jumping in the water off the dock!
